A cognitive communication disorder may result after a concussion, stroke or traumatic brain injury or from medical conditions that affect brain function. Such patients can turn to Atlantic Rehabilitation for cognitive-based therapy, which may improve attention, organization and memory.
We use computer-based practice exercises and strategy development to enhance conversational and daily planning skills. In addition, we offer a brain injury support group so patients can receive mutual education and encouragement:
Brain Injury Support Group
