Wait times represent the average estimated length of time from registration to being assigned a "first provider" (a doctor, nurse practitioner or physician assistant). Times displayed for Atlantic Health Systems are:

  • Reported as an average of wait times for the previous 2 hours of patients that have presented to the emergency department and have been seen by a provider
  • Refreshed at least every 15 minutes

Many circumstances can affect wait times - for example, patients arriving by ambulance or with life-threatening injuries or illnesses. Patients with severe conditions will be seen before those with less-serious problems or ailments. These times are provided for informational purposes only and cannot be guaranteed upon arrival.

Clinical Training Programs

Atlantic Health System sponsors several advanced training programs for medical professionals. The goal of these programs is to provide students with learning opportunities in advanced clinical practice and new technology.

Institute of Bioskills Training and Innovation

We provide training to residents in basic and advanced surgical skills, as well as providing training and education to hospital staff in the use of new technology.

School of Cardiovascular Technology

One of only 58 programs accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) to train cardiovascular technologists.

School of Medical Laboratory Science

Our 12-month program incorporates both didactic sessions and rotations of clinical practice  to education and train medical laboratory scientists.

Pastoral Clinical Education

Our interfaith, graduate-level professional educational program prepares participants to provide support to patients and their families in a hospital setting.
