  • Reported as an average of wait times for the previous 2 hours of patients that have presented to the emergency department and have been seen by a provider
  • Refreshed at least every 15 minutes

Many circumstances can affect wait times - for example, patients arriving by ambulance or with life-threatening injuries or illnesses. Patients with severe conditions will be seen before those with less-serious problems or ailments. These times are provided for informational purposes only and cannot be guaranteed upon arrival.

Each year, in the United States, more people die of lung cancer than any other cancer. An additional 16,000 new cases of esophageal cancer are also diagnosed each year. The earlier a patient is diagnosed with a thoracic cancer, the better the patient’s chances of recovery.

Atlantic Health System Cancer Care's Multidisciplinary Thoracic Tumor Program provides state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment services for disorders of the lung, mediastinum, pleura, esophagus and chest wall. Our comprehensive approach to lung cancer treatment integrates the specialties of surgery, pulmonary rehabilitation, pathology, radiology, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, radiosurgery and palliative medicine. Our thoracic oncology services are coordinated by a nurse navigator who helps guide every patient’s diagnosis and treatment, working with the patient and family to keep everyone educated and informed at all times.
