Wait times represent the average estimated length of time from registration to being assigned a "first provider" (a doctor, nurse practitioner or physician assistant). Times displayed for Atlantic Health Systems are:

  • Reported as an average of wait times for the previous 2 hours of patients that have presented to the emergency department and have been seen by a provider
  • Refreshed at least every 15 minutes

Many circumstances can affect wait times - for example, patients arriving by ambulance or with life-threatening injuries or illnesses. Patients with severe conditions will be seen before those with less-serious problems or ailments. These times are provided for informational purposes only and cannot be guaranteed upon arrival.

Pediatric Spasticity Treatment Options

The Spasticity and Gait Disorder Center at Goryeb Children’s Hospital at Morristown Medical Center provides multidisciplinary medical and surgical treatment for children with spasticity and gait, or walking disorders. As part of Atlantic Health System Children's Health, our team takes a family-centered approach, collaborating with caregivers to develop a comprehensive care plan.

Our medical and surgical services include:

  • Multidisciplinary consultations allowing patients and their families to be evaluated by our medical team without traveling to multiple offices
  • Physical, occupational, speech , audiological and feeding therapies
  • Neurosurgical procedures for spasticity, such as baclofen pump placement for intrathecal baclofen therapy, selective dorsal rhizotomies and deep brain stimulation
  • Scoliosis surgery and orthopedic and procedures for tendon lengthening, hip and knee subluxation or reduction and fixation
  • Orthotic therapy
  • Social work support
