Wait times represent the average estimated length of time from registration to being assigned a "first provider" (a doctor, nurse practitioner or physician assistant). Times displayed for Atlantic Health Systems are:

  • Reported as an average of wait times for the previous 2 hours of patients that have presented to the emergency department and have been seen by a provider
  • Refreshed at least every 15 minutes

Many circumstances can affect wait times - for example, patients arriving by ambulance or with life-threatening injuries or illnesses. Patients with severe conditions will be seen before those with less-serious problems or ailments. These times are provided for informational purposes only and cannot be guaranteed upon arrival.

Joy's Story - Pediatric Spasticity and Gait Disorders Program

Patients with spasticity and gait, or walking disorders, such as those with cerebral palsy, dystonia and scoliosis, may experience complex medical problems that can limit their daily activities. At Spasticity and Gait Disorder Center at Goryeb Children's Hospital, we provide comprehensive care to infants, children and adolescents that maximizes their mobility and functional independence.

As part of Atlantic Health System Children's Health, we have a team of specialists from a variety of disciplines, including neurology, neurosurgery, physiatry, orthopedic surgery, spine surgery, developmental pediatrics, orthotics, nursing and social work. They’ll collaborate to diagnose your child’s condition and provide appropriate, individualized short- and long-term medical treatment.
