Meal Service in the Pediatric Unit

Our patients look forward to fresh, delicious and nutritious meals at the Pediatric Units at Goryeb Children’s Hospital in Morristown, Hersh Children's Center at Overlook Medical Center and the Children's Center at Chilton Medical Center. Each morning our food and nutrition services staff requests your child’s food preferences for the day. Our dietitian can help with special dietary needs and preferences for our pediatric patients. Regular adult, pediatric and alternative choice menus are also available.

In our unit’s pantry, a refrigerator for our pediatric patients contains milk, juice, soda, ice pops, ice cream and condiments. The pantry also stocks infant foods and formulas, cereals, crackers and utensils. You may help yourself to items for your child to enjoy.

For a fee, family members can order a guest tray which will be delivered with your child’s meal. In addition, we offer a continental breakfast every morning in our great room, and you may help yourself to coffee or tea at any time. The great room also has a refrigerator and microwave for your convenience.
