Wait times represent the average estimated length of time from registration to being assigned a "first provider" (a doctor, nurse practitioner or physician assistant). Times displayed for Atlantic Health Systems are:

  • Reported as an average of wait times for the previous 2 hours of patients that have presented to the emergency department and have been seen by a provider
  • Refreshed at least every 15 minutes

Many circumstances can affect wait times - for example, patients arriving by ambulance or with life-threatening injuries or illnesses. Patients with severe conditions will be seen before those with less-serious problems or ailments. These times are provided for informational purposes only and cannot be guaranteed upon arrival.

Meal Service in the Pediatric Unit

Within the Pediatric Unit at Goryeb Children’s Hospital and Goryeb Children's Center, our patients look forward to fresh, delicious and nutritious meals. Each morning our food and nutrition services staff requests your child’s food preferences for the day. Our dietitian can help with special dietary needs and preferences for our pediatric patients. Regular adult, pediatric and alternative choice menus are also available.

In our unit’s pantry, a refrigerator for our pediatric patients contains milk, juice, soda, ice pops, ice cream and condiments. The pantry also stocks infant foods and formulas, cereals, crackers and utensils. You may help yourself to items for your child to enjoy.

For a fee, family members can order a guest tray which will be delivered with your child’s meal. In addition, we offer a continental breakfast every morning in our great room, and you may help yourself to coffee or tea at any time. The great room also has a refrigerator and microwave for your convenience.
