Atlantic Health System Welcomes Donna Lawson as Vice President of Quality and Patient Safety

Morristown, NJ – Atlantic Health System is continuing its commitment to providing the highest quality care for its patients with the addition of Donna Lawson as Vice President of Quality and Patient Safety. As reflected in recent scores and recognitions from nationally respected quality-ranking organizations, Atlantic Health System’s reputation as a leader in quality continues to grow.

As Vice President of Quality and Patient Safety, Lawson will continue to implement Atlantic Health System’s vision of excellence in patient safety and advance the award-winning, quality outcomes consistently delivered by Atlantic Health’s clinical teams. She joins a leadership team dedicated to a structure that supports Atlantic Health System’s unwavering commitment to high quality patient care and safety though analyzing data with rigorous quality and safety program oversight.

Possessing a patient-centered focus on care delivery, Lawson is ready to bring her background in case management, nursing care administration and quality management to work in building healthier communities across northern New Jersey.

Lawson has spent her career in health care finding solutions to drive quality, safety and efficiency in a variety of roles ranging from Interim Chief Nursing Officer to System Vice President of Quality. She joins Atlantic Health System from Brookwood Baptist Health, a member of Tenet Health in Birmingham, Alabama. She was selected to the list of “30 Women Who Shape the State of Alabama” for 2018 by the Alabama Media Group; is a member of the Healthcare Data Advisory Council; is a Magnet Appraiser for the American Nurse Credentialing Center and President of the Birmingham Care Coordination Coalition.
